Don't you just loveit when a plan comes together?

Well it's all systems go over here. Website is on target for 1st November launch. Plans for special offers on the day are almost finalised and I have sourced a new supplier which should hopefully reduce lead times slightly.

My new supplier is a manufacturer of beads as well as a bead wholesaler and I have been inspired by several individual beads so much that I now have a whole range of jewellery for the teenage market in mind. Range name and launch date to be confirmed.

Rest assured Nu Joolz will not be leaving it's root in wedding jewellery and tiaras but will instead be adding more casual ranges to compliment our more formal pieces.

I am feeling so positive and inspired.

Sorry it has been quiet over here for the last 8 weeks or so. I have been working away like the busy little bee I am perfecting our website. I am very pleased to announce that as of 1st November 2009 you will be able to buy pieces by Nujoolz online at www.nujoolz.com.

I am so so excited about the website launch as it is something I have personally been working towards for over 2 years.

Over the coming weeks I will be announcing special offers to coincide with launch day as well as details of what I hope to be the first of many competitions.

a brief synopsis

Well is has been almost two weeks since I updated you all, actually I don't know if there is a 'you all' I could be typing into empty cyberspace but anyway..........

The last two weeks have been manic. We are in full wedding season and I seem to have a deadline every few days, all orders are now out and my next deadline is 18th July 2009 for a Crystal and Pearl Tiara. I will be working on that over the next week or so and pictures will follow.

I have also been playing around with my camera in a effort to improve my pictures. At the moment I am having a reasonable amount of success. Over the next few days I will be adding many many pictures to this blog and to facebook. If you are a facebook user please feel free to add yourself as a fan.

Also within the next few days I will be working more on this blog, changing the layouts etc until it is exactly how I want it to be. Please bare with me during this time, I promise it will be worth it.

The end of the endless weekend

Well following on from the last post, New supplier is fantastic. I spoke to her for roughly 90 minutes about ideas materials and what I need from her and her responses were all very positive.

I have decided to place a small test order later this week to gauge her delivery times and accuracy along with her quality. I think I will make some earings and a necklace.

No photos of hairpins and tiara yet as the bride sent them to my mobile and I have mislaid my cable to connect it up. Soon I promise.

Well it is Friday once again. Time for the weekend and all the creativity that comes with that. This evening I have delivered one bridal tiara and 3 sets of bridesmaid hair pins to a local client ready for her hair practice on Sunday. Photo's to follow, sunday possibly monday.

My plans for this weekend are quite simple. Three pendants to be made plus I would like to investigate a small local bead wholesaler. I will report back on my findings. Apart from that I will be spending time with my kids and planning my next step to world domination of the jewellery market.

Well I have taken the first step towards the 21st century and I am attempting to build a website.

So far it is going ok, but I will be needing lots of help from anyone who has any advice to offer. Firstly when I meet a client face to face or talk over the telephone she can tell me what she wants to or needs to know but on a website I have a captive audience.

So come on what is it you would like to be included in the product information part of the site?
Well I have finally done it. I have started a blog to track my progress in my attempts to make a small business out of my hobby.

Firstly here is a little bit about me. I am a married mother of two little girls and I make jewellery. Making Jewellery has always been a hobby of mine since I was a teenager, but it stayed just that, a hobby until August 2007.

I was getting married last year and it was obvious to me, there was no need in me buying weding jewellery and tiara, I would make them myself. I had done this for several friends previously for both weddings and Graduation Balls. I decided that if I made them myself not only would I have something totally unique but I would also have something special to pass down the generations. At my final dress fitting I took along my newly made tiara to see the overall effect and the owner of the bridal store asked me where I had purchased such a thing. I told her I had made it myself and she asked if I had considered making such pieces to order as she had clients looking for that type of thing all the time.

Four days later and with only 6 weeks until my own wedding Nu Joolz was born
